L’instant I is a work in progress and explores our relationship to nuclear testing through the wide archive of related materials that only recently entered the public domain. The source of the works is archival footage of bomb explosions where the film has been affected by radiation. The resulting images capture the precise instant of destruction as the bomb is detonated.
